New look Conran shop

14 May 2012

The Conran Shop Chelsea is changing with a radical redesign of its flagship store – the first phase of a year-long programme that is to be rolled out across the group.  The Michelin House flagship store, which celebrates 25 years of trading this year, is designed to provide a single destination for the best and most beautiful designer homeware in the world.

The new concept focuses on room sets and the ‘edit’ of objects. It does not follow trends but takes the best possible materials and products, edited down with Conran flair and creativity to reflect the very best of the way we live now under one roof. Much of the inspiration has come from Terence’s country home – Barton Court.

Whilst products across the range are high quality, made from the best materials and with provenance, entry level products will remain. Many ranges are exclusive such as a 10-piece furniture range made in Britain by Benchmark called ‘Wardour’ and an exquisite textile collection featuring the finest fabrics available. Room sets are to be changed each season to keep the look fresh and sharp and the customer constantly stimulated.
