A New Vision

A New Vision

The vision for the Estate is for this area to be:

  • A thriving neighborhood where the importance of architectural heritage, economic development and community are recognised and encouraged;
  • Set within a public realm that is attractive and sensitive to the location and importance of the area;
  • A community where a culturally diverse range of people can live, work, learn and visit in comfort, safety and enjoyment;
  • High quality local retailing including food and local amenity shops to service local residents;
  • Design-led, building on the design heritage of the area

Since taking ownership of the Brompton Quarter in 2003, Brompton Estates has been working with local stakeholders to develop plans to enhance the area.

Working with the team that revitalised Marylebone High Street, the Brompton Quarter is set to become a vibrant locally-driven shopping area with a distinct offer that will complement the fashion shops found in other parts of the Brompton Road.

Certain visible improvements have already occurred, such as the refurbishment of Empire House and the introduction of the specialist kitchen store Divertimenti at 227-229 Brompton Road, the Brompton Quarter Cafe and Grocer at 223-225 Brompton Road and the soon-to-open Skandium shop at 245-249 Brompton Road.

Brompton Estates and its sister organisations have been involved in this area for many years and have a deep interest in ensuring its long-term success.
